OASIS was formed in 1981 by John Balch to fill the need for an independent furniture systems installation company in the Pacific Northwest. Before the formation of OASIS, all furniture installation firms in the region were either associated with a furniture manufacturer or a dealer. Mr. Balch had the foresight to seize the opportunity for a service that would allow businesses/corporations (no matter which furniture product line they purchased) to install or reconfigure any system. For the first 10 years, this was the core service that OASIS provided. In 1991 we added project management to our core services. OASIS continues to manage tenant improvement projects, relocation efforts and facility support services across the nation. In 1999, we added several new core services: space planning, CAD, facility management and corporate relocation as well as long-term storage and asset management.
